Evening guys, write I know a few of you will be getting sick of me posting pics of new willow so this is the last one I plan on putting up for a while

So I have seen a few nice bats coming out from Somerset and really liked the look of the work Dom was producing so contacted him about a G1 offering. Dom was really accommodating and sent me across some pics of clefts. All of which looked very nice and blemish free. I needed a cleft that would finish at my ideal weight of 2.8. Dom again sent me pics of 4 grade 1 clefts that would finish at that weight. I picked this beauty.
My requirements were quite simple in that I wanted a full spine and no concaving at all or as little as was possible to get to my weight. Apart from that I gave Dom some freedom as he had expressed in previous threads he enjoys coming up with his own unique take on things.
The bat has been fully knocked in and has been oiled and had clear anti scuff applied. I really like that the bat also came supplied with a thick spiral grip as that is my preferred choice. The bat has 32mm edges and a slight bow in the blade. The bat has 7 dead straight grains on a perfectly clean blade and these run straight through a slightly feathered toe. Pick up is excellent even though the bat is quite light anyway.
I think that the profile has a lot in common with the Newbery thruxton which is a bat I already own and really like and also a profile I think offers a long, large middle with a mid blade middle and with the full spine gives some strength to the toe as well. Anyone looking for a G1 custome offering could do a lot worse than contact Dom and for. £135 for a G1 I feel offers great value for money.
