I am with everyone else here! Too much blue and the two contrasting shades of blue on the softs really don't do it for me! Whether these will actually look better in the flesh is a question....but from the pictures I am not keen.
I am liking the profile of the bat though! Looks a stonker and looks the kind of profile that will appeal to a lot of people. So like the amplus and master, it will sell but I'm assuming it won't be cheap?

If Bedwetter did have a hand in designing this, I can only assume he wanted the side of him that calls his mum Bruv to be reflected in the appearence. A little bit vulgar to put it politely

After seeing one of Trott's bat it definately has the whiff of it about it, but agree the softs just don't do it

Designed by a myopic chimp with anger issues in a dingy room, lit only by an intermitently working lava-lamp.

That's Poocakes that is!

Re. Bedwetter helping with the design.

Does anyone recall the episode of the Simpsons where Homer's long-lost half-brother let's him design the flagship car in his motor company's range?

The equivalent cricket example is right there.

The colours I like.  The design and liberal use of them I do not.

I would assume - hope - that M&H also have a traditional range they are sticking  to/updating, as this smacks of trying to copy others rather than sticking to their true (loved) roots.

This shows what happens when you let a sportsman with no taste near the design room - you've got designers, use them, or take his thoughts and interpret them.

To quote the legendary Brian Clough "We'll talk about it for ten minutes then we'll decide that I'm right..."  That's what the M&H design team needed to do!

Stick to the day job CK...

The sticker designer has done a great job on the bat - I really like the way they have looked at the old style M&H branding and made it look modern. Thumbs up to them. When I saw the bat at the trade show it looked a beast.

The gloves and pads look great in my view in person, yes they are a little shiny - but they sit alongside the traditional kit that M&H does so it is clear they are trying to pick up two markets.
Personally I really like the kit, with the only change I would make would be to shrink the logo on the front ankle of the batting and keeping pads.

You also have to remember that the aim of the branding is two fold - to stand out in the shops and to be really visible on TV/from the boundary edge. GM have changed their branding for the same reason.

Alvaro - Homer's car was awesome.

Bats start at 2.9 I believe...

Not happy that the photos have been plastered on the thread.  I will be having words to the guilty party...  >:(

Buzz - I didn't say anything to the contrary... ;)

The stickers in the catalogue look like something from an 80s arcade game. They may be different in the flesh. I may be boring, but this range looks a tad flashy for a premium price point.
