I like the look of all of this personally with the exception of the keeping gloves, shame that as it's probably the only item I might have considered buying if they were nice!

I find it strange how people go crazy when Kookaburra do a bat in this "ice blue" colour, but then when M&H do something similar, everyone feels it's too loud... Yes, it's a bit different for them, but that's the whole point?!

As it happens, I felt the colours in the flesh looked absolutely stunning.  From what I've seen so far, this is my favourite new range for 2014...

I dont think its the blue that people didnt like, it was the use of a blue on the bat and a different one on the pads in the same range. If they'd kept it consistent i think they would have had better feedback

as above, I thought the bat looked stunning. That PDF that got posted on here the blues on the softs were a lot darker. Can anyone confirm if they are actually different or if it's a printing issue for the booklet.

I didn't notice any colour difference at the show, so may just be a printing issue.  I really hope it is too because, on 2nd look, I noticed that difference too...

Going back to another question that's as yet unanswered: yes, I think it is an oversized cleft, which is one of the reasons for the higher price.  It's a very big bat - guaranteeing 40mm+ edges on every one too...

I don't know.  It will be close, though, I'm sure...

I love the styling, but I also love the understated styling of the current range. Why can't they have both?

It's a lot better alternative than the JN stickers that's for sure!

Incidentally, the Amplus, Original, Solution, Harlequin and Master bats are staying exactly the same for 2014.  As are the T1, T2 and T3 softs, which also now have a tan leather option for each.  So, the range as a whole will still be understated and traditional.  The CK22 is, effectively, a spin-off range to tie in with CK's endorsement.  I don't believe the brand is heading in this direction in terms of styling.

Personally I think the standard M&H bats have the best looking stickers out there at the moment , but am not too keen on the looks of these ones. Probably best to wait til we see them in the flesh before making too big an assumption though!

Is having Craig Kieswetter using your product something you really want to be shouting quite so loudly about?

Distinction?

It's being discontinued due to the clefts needed to make them being too hard to source. Spoke to Graham about it last week.

Why's that?

Oversized clefts... They use it for their Amplus, Master and CK22... The most likely reason is that people prefer a thicker edge, and they can get both massive edges and a high spine with OS clefts. Maybe it didn't do too well in the sales this year, so wanted something which bridges the Amplus and Master ranges. I could be wrong though, just my thoughts on it. :)
