Shan Masood
« on: October 18, 2013, 08:42:55 AM »

Did anyone see his batting in the 1st innings? I havent watched it, so was wondering what people's views were on him as a debutant player? Given Pakistan's recent troubles with finding an opener, does this kid look good enough?

Saw a bit of it whilst at the gym, looks a talent.  Lets face it, anyone scoring runs off Steyn/Philander/Morkel/Kallis has to have something about them.

Obviously, as with most everything related to Pakistani cricket, only time will tell...

Promising, I just hope the PCB give the kid a fair run of games rather than make any knee jerk reactions. His off to a decent start, so let him have a fair crack at it.

Pakistan cricket selection always seems such a merry-go-round, with people never staying in the team for very long, so you never get to know the players.

Wasn't  there another Left arm spinner in before this debutant, who was quite good?

Let's see what he does in the second Test.

Steyn Morkel and Philander where undercooked in the Pakistan 1st dig.

Look what happened in the 2nd dig just chasing 40 odd. Top 3 was blown away.

Proteas lack of competitive cricket gifted the debutant runs.

Is this a flashback to the ENG vs Pak thread? ;)

Agreed, far to early to judge him yet. Point i am making, is he at least deserves a run of games...
