If I were England I'd love to see Bailey in the Test side, especially if I fielded in the cordon. He gets squared up a lot and averaged about 19 last year in FC stuff last year.

Ferguson could be another shout – before a nasty knee injury he looked a good player for Aus in ODIs too.

Looks like he fixed up his technique, both of them. I'd fancy both to be In the squad - but bailey to be in the side!

He looks like he's a nick offer because his right shoulder comes round a lot.

I agree he's done a sterling job for Australia and seems a stand up guy but I wonder whether he has the game for tests. I hope he doesn't because 4 Ashes wins in a row would be great.

Rodgers, finch, watto, Bailey, Clarke,  Hughes, Warner, Haddin, sidle, Harris and pattinson ( if their pitches are fast then don't bother with a spinner

I never noticed!  :-[
Although I can see him being a capable test cricketer. He's got the aspect of playing ugly and grinding out an innings if need be!

Whilst George Bailey's a cracking chap and you can't help wish him all the best with trying to get a Test cap, his Shield form doesn't merit a cap.

He averaged under 20.

Hughes average 51 last year
Khawaja 60 odd
Doolan 60 odd

There's a chap by the name of Michael Bevan, a limited overs legend. Yet couldn't do it in Test cricket due to his technical flaws being exposed. This would happen to Bailey.

They aren't going to go in with 3 seamers.

Considering Pattinson's only likely to be for Perth. And Harris and Siddle are injury prone.

Couple in Finch in no way near Test consideration.

And why would they have openers batting at 6/7?

I see your point but Hughes and Khawaja have been subject to English baiting and are often the tame wickets it fall through their technical flaws, all being said. I just want to see Aussie return the urn!!

George Bailey is quite possibly my most disliked cricketer in the world of the game at the moment. An ongoing joke with my cousin is you know that you've had a bad day when either Bailey/Maxewell scores runs or Xavier Doherty takes wickets against you. Having said that he seems to be in a little bit of form at the moment and given a little push over the past couple of years by the Cricket Australia. I've not been able to actually see any of the India vs Australia ODI series but I'd be very interested to hear peoples opinions on who have about how these guys are looking with consideration to the conditions and their performances.

I can only go by the score book though I guess at the end of the day, runs/wickets in the book are what counts.

Didn't say it's what they'd go for, just what I'd try. Warner is no opener! He's a slogger
