Aero Strippers, not for me!
« on: November 03, 2013, 10:23:58 AM »

I'm not sure if it's just me or others feel the same,  but I just can't like mine. The pads themselves are so stiff and can't get them to flatten at all. I'm erm larger in the thigh if you will and they just don't sit right on my front leg. If anyone has any advice as to what I can do to change this or an alternative thigh protector that would be great!

See buzz's thigh guard thread but get some Stretton fox's! By far the best !

Well nice own P2s which might indicate my budget but did read the SFs are rather expensive am I correct? And I don't think the standard I play warrants them. (despite the fact I've just bought GN legend pads!)  I'm open to suggestions if the right solution comes along.

Maybe not stretton fox on that budget then! Haha

My dad has a kookaburra (I think ice) inner & outer thigh pad. They're a bit bulkier than the P2s but he's happy comfort wise. Might be worth looking into.
A teammate has the Adidas pro inner and outer thigh pad, bit thinner, relit ovules light weight & towel backed. Not sure about how easy it moulds to the thigh though, but again might be worth considering

I was seduced by George in to buying an SF inner and outer thigh guard lol

I don't think there is a better product than P2 in that range. Could size be an issue?
You can try experimenting with small medium large.

Stick them under your mattress for a few nights that will flaten them out a bit
