Regarding the pressing, just because a press doesn't happen to be in somebody's workshop doesn't mean that the bat maker who works there doesn't actually press the bats himself.  The pressing could be done somewhere else, but still by the bat maker, right?
You have summed this up correctly. I have heard from a good source the same thing

When is the weight due to be revealed Paul? (Quite keen on this freak of a bat!).  :D

When we shoot the video review!  :) That will be this weekend.  Will review all of the bats then...

Lovely looking bats, nice stickers and reasonable RRP.
The 53mm one looks lush, bet it goes like stink.
As for who presses what, who cares. Everything I've heard is rumour, hearsay or can not be corroborated but who really cares as long as the bat performs. If you do really really care, then I suggest you make your own bats start to finish, including cutting down the tree  :D That way you will definitely know it was fully handmade every step.

I have a tour de force gold and I can confirm that and the other few Woodstocks I've seen do perform (just a shame I can't get on with the shape of mine  :( )

You're holding it upside down  ;)
I take it the shape means the middle isn't quite where you require it? You can always sell it and get something more suitable.

Can anyone tell me why you would plane the edges of a bat after you have bound the handle? I would have thought the bat would be finished and sanded before the handle is bound then buffed to a finish?

Ah that's where I've been going wrong!  :-[
The middle is incredible, just a bit too low for me  :(
It's stickered up as a Neon so selling it may be a bit more tricky than it should be haha

I think I have enough willow to keep me going for a couple of weeks of net sessions, but I'll bear it in mind next time I need a new stick, cheers mate

For those of you who were wondering about the 53mm edge bat (it's actually more like 51.5mm having measured it again), but anyway, here's my video review and announcement of the Guess The Weight competition winner!

Maybe not a canoe, but certainly an oar!

I'll let my mate know about the big one, he's looking for a heavy bat. You should get a call today as it's his birthday  :D
