Must say i also like the look of second from the right. Thats the sort of grain structure i like to aim for personally.

Well just ordered my new stack of willow always something to look forward to. A lot happening at the moment new logos being done for my new shape sorting out new grading for 2014 to allow every grade to be available in every range. And a few more irons in the fire which will be great if they all come to fruition.

On a more serious note, I wouldn't mind your thoughts on the "quinto" design, bottom image.

It's a little idea taken from Saf's blog and extrapolated to give a wider middle. Is it something that's feasible to make?
It's just a rough CAD drawing, the concaving would run nearly the full-length of the bat and may not be as extreme as drawn.

Sounds something like something that's being sent to me by an old friend over in South Africa. Am awaiting the parcel now he has given me the patent to it if I want to use it. I haven't seen it yet but from what he's told me its in that sort of direction of thinking. He had a patent taken out on it but he's not been able to carry it through due to health so he's saw an article on me and has passed it on so will be interesting to see.

Be funny if it turns out to be the same idea :D Post up some pics when it arrives.
I'm thinking a lighter weight cleft, Amplus type profile, mid or slightly high middle and under 2 lbs 10 oz dressed, no scuff sheet as I don't like them. I prefer going commando. :o

The second cleft in from the left is a rare one it is weighing in at only 3-5 in its raw state and its a lovely bit of wood. Make a big bat for someone

Looks like it has character. Impossible to resist...

Ps the finish on these bats is immense compared to most companies now who don't seem to bother. Is this something that helps the performance or is it just cosmetic?

Batman it's purely cosmetic but I have spent a lot of time and money to get this right as I want to challenge the best that's been my aim from the start. If you are looking for good performance at that price just email me on aldred173@btinternet.com and I can show you what I have don't be fooled by grains it's the pressing that matters. We as a small company have to be meticulous with the pressing to get the best out of every cleft we have. Not only can we not afford to do it financially but I don't want to let the quality slip for the customer.
People get hung up on the image of a bat it's shape logos profile etc but at the end of the day it's down to performance in my eyes so we try and make every bat with that in mind. The cosmetics of the bat are just the icing on the cake

Players grade. Its top notch and goes like stink its just waiting to be chosen for shaping into a very special bat.

Out of interest, what is the cost of this in the supreme shape?

That particular cleft has been sold but plenty more as good. All supremes at the moment are £220 to cb members. The price changes are coming in soon as willow has increased in price again.
