So his knee is yet again causing issues, is this the beginning of the end for our more naturally gifted entertainer ?

I wouldn't have thought so. Plenty of cricketers deal with nagging injuries throughout their career, without even so much as a whimper from the press. I always feel that injury worries become blown out of all proportion when it comes to KP. Nobody seems particularly concerned about Matt Prior's calf strain for example.

True, but it's a re-occurring one which tends to give it more weight so to speak. Prior just has a single injury, whereas KP has the same one. Hopefully it's not though and he'll be fine.

Indeed. Fingers crossed his little detour is worth it, as a moment of brilliance from him is enough to change the face of any series.

Could be a blessing in disguise to be honest, the KP of old looks long gone and all we are left with is an egotistical prat  who will score the odd gritty hundred but fail the vast majority of the time. If he has a fitness problem, give Taylor or someone else a go until he is fit, and make him fight for his place.

(Watch now as KP enters the form of his life...)
