My Stretton Fox experience so far
« on: November 10, 2013, 08:31:31 PM »

Well it's finally happened, I've gone and placed an order for a set of foxy thigh pads.
I know some of you have already done so and will be perfectly aware of this, but for anyone considering purchasing a set, do it!

To start with I sent George a message on here, he then advised me to email him so that I could have a file set up with templates.
I was also sent Georges phone number so he could talk me through the key information.

Due to a couple of issues it was a few days before I got to speak to George, but in the course of a phone call I knew I'd made the right decision. George is a top bloke and he made sure I knew exactly what to do and what he would then do with the information. He also sent another template to me knowing more about my height and size, so that I could chose what was best for me.

I printed the templates I was sent and tried them for size. I only had a slight change to make, so emailed George to let him know what I'd like. He then sent over payment details and confirmed my order, including when I would get the finished product. So in total it will take about a week from first contact to receiving the finished product to get a fully bespoke thigh pad set.

My experience so far has been excellent. George really does deliver a great service and makes sure each customer get exactly what they want. I will repeat myself from earlier, if you are thinking about buying any Stretton Fox protection contact George ASAP, you won't be disappointed.

I will update this post with pictures when my new foxy pads arrive.

Well today was the day I received my new set! And I am simply delighted with them.  :D

George's service has been excellent from start to finish, I honestly can't thank him enough.

I've just spent biggest part of an hour bending the guards to get them to fit, then walking round with them on. They are so comfy compared to my last thigh pad set (Aero P2s)

I have also done the mallet test (it had to be done) and was highly impressed. I honestly didn't feel a thing.

As I got these bespoke the shape covers virtually all the bits I usually hit on.

These won't be the mode exciting pads you've seen but I'm happy with them. If you are even considering buying a set of Stretton Fox's stop it and just buy them, you honestly can't go wrong.

Cool!

Just a quick question, does the hip pad Velcro on the inside of the thigh pad?

Interesting inner thigh shape, do you get hit low down close to the knee much?

Was a combination of covering that fleshy area inside edges always hit and the fact I'm a bit fat so have a lot of thigh to cover lol

Looks good mate, might have to invest in a thigh pad.
You shouldn't be getting hit on the inner thigh, I do all the time but won't get a pad for that as it'll teach me to play better.........eventually.

I know I shouldn't be getting hit there but it still happens and is rather painful when it does!
If you can't prevent it with a bat, protect it with a pad haha
