Is that a Python as in the bedroom brand that is handpicked for pro's or what ever tosh is said about them?? If so mate please don't part with good money. I would rather give you a bat from my collection.

They are not hand picked for pros but made by willow that is used by pros.

Soulman, the bat for KRS is made by Tim keeley

John it's not for this thread or to start a ping pong post but can I ask a honest question?

I know you get a fair bit of stick (possible some justified, some maybe not), why don't you just bite the bullet become a sponsor and show the forum what your brands all about - think of it as a challenge to silence the critics!

Ams

It is sorted but I'm having second thoughts. It seems my posts on here reflect the quality of my bats which shouldn't be the case.

The way you post will always reflect on your business. And it would be deluded to think otherwise.

Mr Garrett all i know is your bats are made by the best and to be fair with your reputation in cricket i would have no doubt buying a bat from you...

My next 3 will all be B3 because they make something not even the great Keeley or Kember can do 100 per cent of the time but B3 can...

John the bats i have seen of python on here and elsewhere have all looked classy indeed and up my street.

1) A harrow size H4L Tempo to see if that brings the weight down a bit to 2.9 as I normally use 2.7- 2.8. What  a magnificent profile !
2) A B3 crown grade willow in a Spartan MC LE shape. I am a bit confused about low density willow. Aren't they naturally occurring willow with lower cellular water content ?. Can I simply not get a normal grade and dry it next to a radiator in order to attain a similar effect ?.
3) Between Red Ink , RK, DS and Aldred bats, I simply cannot choose. Each of these brands are churning out stupendous pieces of willow.

1) gm purist for old times sake.
2) aldred butterfly - new shape mixed with pauls thoights on the butterfly stain in the willow
3)  a ds - seen some great work on here.

Long time off I think though.

1) GN powerspot or powerbow xgen 5 star (since ive seen the shape i cant choose which one)
2) DS really like the way the bats are shaped with most of the wood in the hitting area
3) A B3 really want to experiment with a shape i can decide by a mm

number 1 seems quite realistic for the near future, otherwise i may have to wait :(

Blueroom Storm
Salix top of the range

After 2014 I doubt I'll ever buy a bat again :)

The way you post will always reflect on your business. And it would be deluded to think otherwise.

Maybe you should actually see my point and understand where I'm coming from when I question the prices of bats versus their quality. I will NEVER sell anyone an overpriced bat in order to put money in my pocket. For me it's not about making money it's about club cricketers like all of you lads getting a proper bat that is being sold at nearly twice the price elsewhere.

You will also see I have NEVER had a bad word to say about Aldred or BB as they seem to be like me, they want club cricketers to use pro quality equipment at reasonable prices. I have purchased 3 BB bats.

If I can't provide someone a bat they want (I've restricted my bats to two stock shapes) I will tell them such, rather than sell them a bat they haven't asked for and refer them to BB or B3 (if it seems a very particular request) and I have lost nearly 10 sales because of this. If I send someone a bat they don't like they can send it back and I'll give them 100% refund or another one.

I'm sure KRS won't mind me saying that I actually told him that he doesn't need a bat from me and that he will have a very good bat in his Aldred and should keep his money as there is no point in having 5 bats, then 10 and before you know it you don't know which bat to use. You won't give a bat at least 500 runs to see how it is and you will have too much choice so you are never happy with them. As a result you end up having bought from all the batmakers/brands and there is nowhere to turn.

My advice, have 2 bats use them how you feel through a season. Ditch the one you least happy with and then buy one or two more for next season.

I do see where your coming from. Your spare bedroom with no overheads or other costs to think off.
Merely selling a product at bargain price so you constantly bitch about the price of bats being sold by people trying to make a living from it.

Its not big its not clever and its dam right annoying. Severely ruins this forum seeing it on every other post.

Really Really

This forum has changed people buy into brands plain and simple understand the backgrounds just because people are forum sponsors does not mean your getting the best price and deal trust me.

The bedroom brands you speak of are not some of the forum sponsors the same.

This forum is less than 1% of the market look around there plenty of choice mate what wrong with getting superior equipment at a cheap price....?????

Lets take a famous maker from Sussex or Kent who may or may not make for 10 brands if i can get the cheapest bat he/they make at the price i shall get it even if he lives in a cart or a bin.

It reminds me of the famous India v England bat debate years ago bat snobs everywhere.....

My theory is buy the bat you want with the price your happy at.

The forum is getting crazy look beyond the pail it a bigger world out there.

GarrettJ is straight to the point kind of guy and one of the most knowledgeable on the forum.

Smiley, someone said they are going to get a bat from me. One persons immediate reply was that they are rubbish and that I'm a n0b and they would prefer to give them a free bat.

That's annoying for as they have no grounds to say this about my bats (fair enough if you don't like me personally) apart from not liking me personally and I will reply to that.

Why not reply back saying don't buy from him as his posts are rubbish rather than referring to a bat he's never ever seen.

I suggest you, soulman, nick auger and Big Dipper (can't remember his name) use the BLOCK function on me. You will see the place suddenly not have me responding to your comments about me and my bedroom (which has no bats in it :) )

Just 3 to choose from? That's not easy!!

I think my short list would be..........
Something from 2014 Salix selection - have several already and they are frigging amazing!
Python to see if they are as good as some of them look, as they are from a maker I like!
GM Octane Players - looove the profile
Aldred as they all look super!
Black Mamaba Pro - the ones I saw were top notch!
I'm sure there are a dozen more that would make my shortlisty too!!  ;)
