What a fabulous victory for New Zealand. A disciplined bowling performance and a great partnership between Elliott and Vettori to guide them through.

Taufel played a big part.

OMG! All  Pakistanis really p!ssed off so are blaming the umpire. I was watching the match and none of the 20 or so lbws that Pakistan appealed for were not out. Most of the time the ball pitched outside the line or was going away. The only time the umpires were wrong was when Umar Akmal got given lbw when in fact it hit his bat. But even though that was the wrong decision, you have to consider how he was playing a sweep shot and when he made contact with the ball, the bat was pointing toward the umpires. A deflection onto the pads it was, but for the umpire the ball hit him straight onto the pads simply because of the position he was in with with relation to the direction the bat was pointing (slightly confusing i know).

Blame the Pakistani fielding. If Younis Khan hadn't dropped that regulation catch and got Elliot (who made the most runs) out, then Pakistan would be in tomorrows final, not New Zealand.

All umpires, no matter how good, only see it once and form one angle and need 1 second to decide the fate of the batsman. They don't see it through hawk eye and the side angle and in slow motion like we do.

Anyway, ask any Pakistani and they will say that Pakistan beating India was them winning the cup. And vice versa

Aussies to win? hoping for some resistance from NZ but think they will be outclassed in the end.

NZ 287 to be chased down

The best team won. All they have to do now is stop choking in the Test series in England and maybe Ricky can be here in 2013 to have a crack at winning the Ashes on English soil for the first time in 12 years....
