Cool Little Masuri Factoid
« on: November 19, 2013, 06:30:46 PM »

Discovered something cool from a customer today, who works at an engineering/manufacturing company in Peterborough.

His company manufacture the grilles and brackets to fix to the shell on the Masuri helmets. They are being made literally over the road from us.

20 of the new style helmets have been shipped out for the Ashes. Does this mean we will see them on the heads of players this winter, or is it more likely players will get used to them in nets etc for a while?

I hope we will see them. If not the batsmen then the keeper or the close-in fielders.

Are these helmets new as in according to the new BIS (helmet) laws or just new for the 2014 season?

Was this :o :o :o your reaction after getting the information?

I have just purchased a close fielding grill for my Masuri, hopefully I wont need to test it's crash capabilities though...

Had a little drive around your area on google maps, couldn't work out which company it might be :(

Did figure out why you're called Vitas though :D
