Cricket bat holder
« on: November 23, 2013, 07:58:12 PM »

Just an idea to share with you guys.

Might be a rubbish idea so be kind please.

Would you guys be interested in a bag dedicated to only carrying your cricket bats.

The idea would be to make it a back pack, each bat would be in an individual pocket . I think you could carry 6 bats at one go.

It would look like a travel roll up bag.

Full length, waterproof. I was only looking at carrying a couple, but maybe 3-4 may be an option. Personally, 6 would probably be too many.

6 would be max, however as it's a roll up unused pockets would not get in the way. I will be drawing up some plans and get a dummy model made up.

I was also thinking or keeping it waterproof and full length.

Would you keep me updated would really like to see how your bag pans out :)

Will do. The other option is buying some cheap bat covers and sewing them together.

I am looking on eBay at the moment, trying to find some Asian bat covers.

The way you described it to me was more of a bat roll, like a chisel/tool roll. I guess you can tie it at each end and sling it over your shoulder

If that's what you are looking at, then Softpockets will be by far the best choice.

What abouta ninja style bat holder?

2 bats, in cross, carried on your back?

Carry two more in your bag, no one needs more than 4 bats on game day? Obviously we need more in storage though.

Not necessarily for match days. Can be good if you have a sideline business to carry a few around with you.

Exactly.

The idea is to carry 4-6 bats in the smallest possible amount of space.

I have so many ideas.....maybe I was beaten to this one but stay tuned!!!

What you need it a bat pocket which is square and has fasteners that you can add to, so all the pockets fit together. That way you can carry one or more.

For example, you have a zip that fits from one pocket to the next and just zip as many together as you need for that day.

You d need a carrying system too though.
