a very different b3 cricket bat!(may upset a few)
« on: November 23, 2013, 09:42:51 PM »

I wanted and still do want a gray nicolls nemesis, unfortunately using 3lb bats, they don't do one without going down the custom route.

instead I approached b3 cricket, and using streakies cad system, we came up with a bat that can hopefully do just as much damage!
made from 2stripe willow, as I didn't want to go 3stripe incase it was a dud. which I shouldn't have, as it picks up surprisingly well, and the ping is phoneminal!

bat is very hybrid, and currently weighs a tad over 2.15.
and shall be used in t20, and late order biffing

here it is next to a 2.10 db3 series b3. give you a idea of edge size/profile

the db3 was a bargain, was priced at 70 in there birthday sale, but I got it for 40 with the beast above. plans are to carbon laminate it as an experiment, hence no stickers.

think this shows the extremes to what b3 can make pretty well.

Pretty well actually, I had it made a tad lighter than my usual weight as I expected it to be bottom heavy, but it really isn't, should have gone heavier!

It reminds me of the BMW Z4, something about it I really like and something about it that's just so wrong!

Anyone else think it looks like a bat where the batmaker has given up after shaping the top of the bat?...

What is the edge size of the middle?

I thought it looked like someone had tried to explain the Nemesis shape over the phone to someone who hadn't seen it and they made it from their interpretation.

I'm not sure if I like it or not, looks a nice bit of willow from the front

Should pick up well with a good spine height up the top of the bat as well. I like the idea mate, hope it goes well for you
