My New Amplus which has flown round the world.
« on: November 28, 2013, 05:59:16 PM »

Hi guys.
Just acquired this Amplus from Ebay Australia which was then sent to me in NZ. First thing I would like to say that if you are buying on looks then you be very disappointed. The grains are not evenly spaced there is only about 6 of them and the are not even very straight. How they ask for the rrp I have no idea but anyway. On the other hand I had a hit with it yesterday and I must say it is one of the best bats I have ever used, and I have only used Lavers for the last 10 years. The pick up is awesome and for the 2.9 weight it is huge.
Finally as I took the old grip off I noticed some writing on the handle: "IJC 13/3/2013". Interesting and would be great if the IJC guys remebered this bat going down under.
So if your happy to look beyond the exterior then a second hand Amplus could be what your after, they must be doing something right if the AOC test is anything to go by.

Cheers

Haha. yeah looks like it. Grains look the same. Like I said for the price you would expect perfection. I got it for a good price so pretty happy.

Must say that I have always lusted after an Amplus, but was always worried the centre would be too high. Would be interesting in getting the new owner's prospective on the sweetspot position.

I've had one net with my new Amplus, higher middle is just right plus it's quite a long middle as well.
