Interesting how two have the flat toes and one has a rounded one!

Interesting to see what people's view on these will be after the few comments on the Salix bats not looking great for top end bats in terms of looks etc. for me there nice looking but not exceptional and I would say that some of the bats I saw when with you Asad were much better looking and half the price, the. BAS bats being a great example. I have no doubt that these will play very very well as will the Salix bats you have ( I saw a lot of these when with Andrew at his workshop at home and also in the main workshop and those Salix bats I tapped up flew off the mallet ).

I think people need to understand the pressure companies that make decent quantities of bats per season are receiving very few true grade 1 clefts at the moment.

Can't all look picture perfect and go like guns I like a blade with a bit off character willow is a natural product and if pressed the right way I sure the salix and the mh will both go like trains as asad does not pick bad bats

I understand there is very few grade 1+'s so why not make the top grade a more limited number instead of selling Grade 2's for a grade 1+ price...I'm sure people would appreciate paying for what they're actually getting! This is by no means a dig at Salix Chris as you may know my bats a Salix and is the best bat I've ever used

Didn't take it as a dig at all mate, I think most people know that Salix would never sell genuine G2 bats as G1 and I also think that most honest bat makers wouldn't either. Indeed I have seen Andrew and Ben and I have as well when seeing people for custom fittings telling players that a performance model will in many cases play as well as a grade one model just may have a few little blemish etc.

The other thing I think that although it doesn't effect performance but I think need to be taking into account when looking at buying a G1 bat and at the price points that the ck22 will command inline with a players grade Salix or SPS etc is the finishing. One thing I have always thought about M&H is that there finishing is awful on a lot of occasions. A good mate of mine has just bought an M&H Harliquin and it's finishing is awful. No word of a lie I could finish a bat to a better standard than this particular model . I'm seeing him later so will take a few pics. Fine sanding looks non existent and I also believe they do not polish there bats . I agree that they all seem to perform well but in the current climate with approx 4% grade 1 willow you finishing plays an important part. As always this is just my view on things.

Sorry no sympathy or understanding they should lower there prices in line then which they haven't.

Your right true grade one is harder to source but then people should grade as the same and bring out more real grade 2 at grade 2 price not bumping up grade 2 and 3 to 1.

I feel a tad sorry because of the number of clefs the big Indian manufactories  are buying there still getting real grade 1 looking bats through.

Asad im sure these bats playa as well as others

Sometimes people ignore what is a commercial business. Sell it for as much as someone is willing to pay. If the majority will accept it as grade one then where is the issue?

First and foremost these guys are trying to make money. If it is an approach you don't like, don't buy from them.

Do not worry I will not but sometimes it good to see things from different angles it a forum of opinion I just like a balance view and I think I may have a balanced view.

Spas or correct I shall leave it to the beholder maybe but personal jibes don't worry me the people who know what I mean know what I mean.

As I have said they possibly play very well I have had 3 bats from asad all played excellently and I have no doubt.
