If Flower get's on his bike....

Who do you see replacing him? Haven't heard/read anything about Gilo taking over, don't think he would be up to it anyway. Any ex players spring to mind at all? Anyone out of work?

Gary Kirsten left the Proteas 12 months ago. He's not looking to coach overseas as his got two young kids, hence why he left the Indian setup after he bagged the World Cup.

And he's still on CSA's books as the Proteas batting consultant.

Stephen Fleming would be a leading contender, if he ever decides to become an international coach.

It'll be Giles - promoting from within being the way Team England operates.

Flower, like many of the players, suddenly looks very tired and I think he would benefit from an extended break from the game with the personal circumstances he's been dealing with.

Don't want Gooch or Giles anywhere near it. Both background men without the character of Flower (I appreciate that Gooch led from the front as a player).

I would quite like Tom Moody.

Giles strikes me as a poor option at the moment. I feel our one-day side has gone backwards since he took over.

I would go for John Emburey with a backroom team of Toby Radford (Performance/Fitness), Graham Gooch and Rahul Dravid (Batting), David Saker and Mushtaq Ahmed (Bowling).

Controversial but I think, interesting :-[

Not sure Emburey is ready to retire (last I heard he was still playing club cricket!)

Anyone want to see the return of Bumble? Mind you I'd miss him from the commentary box too much.

I hope not. Giles hasn't made much progress with the one day side.

I would like to see Gary Kirsten - but I don't think he'll come to England.
