I'm happy for Tredwell to continue in ODIs for now. In the long term, I would very much like to see us using some younger guys and blooding them into international cricket,  personally hoping Borthwick.

Tredders has been a good ODI bowler - keeping it fairly tight. Perhaps that is what England need for a while in Tests as well?
Longer term I still think the England camp like the look of Kerrigan.

What about T Craddock!? He is a very good leg spinner and can spin it a mile

I was personally annoyed that Panesar played...
A new face would've been good in the team, and Scott B can bat as well!

I think Kerrigan is the way forward too but his technical issues will be a major worry at international level. His ability to bowl six balls on the same spot with that action... You have to grimace.

International players are better when they are a little cocky, arrogant and ignorant. Swann was NOT the 'best' spinner in the world (Top 5) but his self belief was second to none and as a spinner you have to have that - especially when you are getting tanked all over the place.

Kerrigan's biggest issue in that game was temperament. Swann as a youngster was the same - came good later in his career. I think Kerrigan will be the same. Just needs to bowl, bowl and bowl some more.

Kerrigan will always be just that bit too slow for international cricket I fear.
