Spartan softs
« on: December 27, 2013, 07:09:04 PM »

Has anyone used these? I really like the look of the MC LE pads and gloves but without actually seeing any in the flesh (no retailers near me stock them as far as i am aware) I'm a touch reluctant to bite the bullet and go for them

I have had the pads there nice i didn't like the tick in the Knee bolster i thought the MP ones where of a better quality but they only had left handers in when i got them.

Also the mesh inside the knee roll was ripped so i took them back decent but not great

Thanks procricket.

Not really looked at the MP ones, maybe they'll be cheap now he's been dropped :)

Any forum sponsor stock these and want to do me a deal?

The MC LE ones were on eBay a while back. Went for £34 and he had more pairs.

I can't get a link as I'm on my phone but on eBay search spartan cricket and a pair will come up...I suppose you could message the seller and get two pairs of MC LE gloves for £80 posted!

I'm watching some already. Guy has a lot of Indian brands for sale. Ideally wanted gloves and pads and can't see him having any pads for sale

He does there was a recent thread on here about a bat he sold. if you look at the spartan bat he has for sale he has a 'preview' of the softs - so it implies he can get hold of them. Nicks a member on here (Nikunjind) but his selling is done via eBay

The MC gear looks good but the SVR range looks better, if they were £34 I'd be tempted.

I like the MC range and will have all the softs in stock very soon . We have few spartan softs available at the moment.
On another note I was told by uk spartan distributor that spartan gear will only be available through authorized retailers so very surprised that their equipment has ended up on eBay and being sold at very low prices

I just can't believe that spartan mc le gloves are sold less than trade price. Not sure many retailers will be happy with that

I'm sure I have got some stuff from this guy in the past and was pretty happy with what I got. If it is the same guy then he has changed his profile name on eBay as I'm sure it was batmancricket or something like that.
Always makes me a little uneasy when people change their names on eBay. But as I said, it might not be the same guy and the service I got was fine if it was anyway.

It is an auction so I guess the seller intends them to go for higher than that

Maybe he gets them cheaper than you? Can't see why retailers can complain really just because someone is under cutting. It is the idea of a free market economy after all.
