How small can we go?
« on: January 03, 2014, 10:15:20 AM »

Big edges are very common but we have all seen traditional shapes like the old mojolner and the oversize cleft bats (distinction, tempo, st alpine) but how small can we go in edges before they risk cracking or damage?

id say 20 mm or so would be the min now, i'm thinking that because bats seem to be pressed a lot softer now??

I take it you have had no abnormal cracking or damage on the m&h? I saw a mojolner with 10mm in playing area but it literally broke a chunk out (horrible noise :(

I wouldn't want to go less than 15mm no matter what the pressing, 20mm would be better.

Think some of the older bats I have are around 12mm.
