specs that was asked for

2.9
oval handle
2 grips
large bow
low middle
10+ grains (will post more pics when get time)
pre knocked in

first impressions...not the best finishing i have seen. doesnt have that nice shine to it that you see from some other bats on here. has a nice pick up, and alot more meat on the bat then im used to. so for its weight i would say its actually pretty big.
slight concaving on the back.
face has a few blemishes so not cosmeticlaly pleasing, hopefully plays well. lad from my club has had 2 of these and said the go like a rocket so heres hoping. @ $300 AUS wont be too disapointed if it doesnt fly as some lads i know spend $700AUS a yr on GN, Kook bats that they end up not liking.
havent used it yet got a game this weekend against one of the weaker teams in our comp so hopefully can give it a work out.

Why have the stickers been removed?

Any pics of face? Closer pics?

Finishing looks poor, back is multi coloured. As no.4 mentioned, it also looks like it had stickers once upon a time.

yea that was my first impressions aswell. I notice what you guys are saying about the stickers. It was very poorly sanded up around the splice, but as far as i know this is how they came. i asked to be pre knocked in and oiled so unless during this process they gave it a bit of a sand up im not sure. as i mentioned its not the most pleasing bat to the eye. i just want it to go half decent.

more pics of face  etc to follow.

I could have got you the exact same bat, made at the same place as Talent Crickets custom mades, but at a better price. I would have picked the cleft for you too, ensuring you got not just a bat that performs well, but a nice looking one too.

As for the stickers, you could speculate this is an off the shelf bat from the batmaker in question that has been destickered. If it matched your specs then it would negate the need to get a new one made up. Whether Talent did this or the bat maker, i don't know. I know the batmaker very well and would be very surprised if they did it.

thanks for the insight. I am now a little dubious as to whether or not this has actually been made to suit. or as you have said just de-stickered. I guess thats a risk you take by doing stuff online and leaving it in other peoples hands to do the deal.

i am looking at getting a new kit for the year, so this was merely just an experiment. i have had a few guys at my club interested in it so i might yet sell it off.

thanks for everyones imput

I just picked up a Laver and Wood off eBay Australia for $270 shipped!! - There are bargains to be had if you look around too.

I agree this looks like a destickered bat. Might be worth asking.

It's not unknown. Couple of years back Barringtons sold me a bat which had clearly been re-sticketed, it was embarrassing. Got a full refund.

The front looks fine on this bat but the back might be like that due to the oiling. They have stopped at the splice but the middle looks funny.

By the way Talent cricket sold me the best bat I've ever had.

it definately looks like this has happened as well. I am a bit unsure as to what has happened with the finishing.
I used it on the weekend and it seemed to go well.
