Duffle bag - after your opinion
« on: January 08, 2014, 09:39:26 AM »

As a keeper batsman am I being optimistic in wanting to use a duffle bag ?

Ive never had one but like the idea of having one....

can anyone make a suggestion of one large enough to fit all of my gear in ? 2 bats 2 sets of pads (1 keeping) gloves helmet and shoes ?

Cheers

I am a keeper and used to use the GM 505 duffle, I found it more than big enough. But if I am honest if you like to be organised duffles are terrible- especially as a keeper. I found that the Salix pod one is a perfect size and not actually that different in boot space IMO.

I have a Shamrock duffle bag which fits in all my batting and keeping gear.  The only downside is that it's quite hard to find what you want with only the one opening at the top...but it does fit everything in and is very good quality.  Shamrock are a forum sponsor and very good to deal with.

I have an old-ish Albion duffle that fits all of that in plus whites and clothes, is bloody heavy though but I can squeeze everything in, its a huge bag

I use the salix Duffle, fits all my gear in.

However it is open topped, and I also have a holall to put my towel and dancing shoes in for the evening after a game.
