Evening guys. I was really excited when I got home tonight as my B&S kit had arrived courtesy of Jake at Vitas. I have been waiting a couple of months to get my hands on this kit since seeing it at the forum event jake held lady year. At that event the guys from B&S were there promoting there new range for this year which I believe is exclusive to Vitas. Here are my initial thoughts on the kit. Firstly the packaging and speed of delivery was first class from Jake. Bat was packaged in loads of bubble wrap with card board protecting as well. Kit arrived with him Monday and was with me today. Bat
Firstly the bat has arrived in an amazing pink B&S bat sock, quality little pocket similar to the soft pockets Wilkie offers, lovely little touch. This bat is actually a supreme that jake had in. When I saw the B&S guys the LE bats were only for show and not available so I looked at the bats on the shelf and found this Supreme. Now this is a great model name for this bat as this taps up like you wouldn't believe, feels so powerful and was bar far in my view plus Garry from B&S the best bat on the mallet from the existing stock plus the demo bats they had. This bat weighs 2.10 and picks up about 2.8/9 in my view. My ideal weight is 2.9 so pretty close. Mid placed profile with flat face and rounded edges. Even grain structure and the lovely new decals/stickers which ever you prefer to call them. The finish on this is amazing and that must be mentioned for a bat in this price point I was not expecting this good a finish. £230 which is the top end bat from B&S which is great value for money. Big large edges and minimal concaving which again is what I look for ideally.
Gloves
Super comfy with pittard palms and super protection. Reinforced protection on the fingers and split finger design. Love the colour combo on these and fit in superbly with the colour scheme of the bat. Thick Velcro wrist brand with limited edition on the Velcro and towling.
Pads
Again top quality with leather top hat and instep and also leather runs up the inside of the pad. Great to see that. LE version of kit and top end in range lives up to that in the materials used. 2 inch straps and comfort bar on the top strap although not sure I will leave that on there. Traditional styled pad which again I like.
In summary for me this kit ticks all the boxes and is certainly a firm favourite in my collection. Simply loved the design and colour scheme when I first saw it. Also the exclusivity of the brand appeals to me as never seen this brand before in the flesh only by a Saffa who's name I forget on tv. Although with kit this good and prices that competitive I would expect to see more and more of B&S in the future. Enjoy the pics.
