I think these vids are great, and yes, which is more to the point, they have influenced me to buy stuff from IJC, so they work.
I think comparisons of bats from the same maker are always interesting, the review of the Salix Pod Players and the Pod performance side by side was a fine example. It persuaded me to go and have a look at the performance, which was swiftly followed by getting my wallet out.

I too look out and forward for new uploads on the IJC channel. They've been an insight into many different profile styles, pressing techniques and introduced me to some new brands.

My only suggestion would be to invest in a much better fluid head (for your tripod) and to improve the camera persons focus pull technique :)

Have a bat off!

Get a net at the oval and take a selection of knocked in bats down, you use each bat and Chris uses each bat, and you can give your info on, how well it picks up and flows in a playing environment, how easy it is to find the middle, how much vibration throughout he handle. How well it seems to go when you find the middle.

But dont just pick one random bat from each manufacturer! Say take 3 h4ls in, one g3 one g2 and a pro. And then tell people if it is worth buying the pro, or if the g3 goes and feels just as good!

You obviously can't do that regularly. But a pre season review each year like that would be ace.

Less loud mallet banging!! Also would love to see a review on aero p2 inners

I bought some from Paul a couple of days ago, they are great. They take a little while to get used to the padding but after a couple of minutes they feel very comfortable. I kept in the nets on Wednesday (stood up obviously) against some of our quicks and the padding really helps, particularly on the fingers. Barely felt a thing when I inevitably poked a couple.

Agree with some of the comments on here, shorter videos would advantageous as well as focusing more on the products. However that depends on your analytics and how long users are spending time watching your reviews.

Paul I don't know how much space you have in the shop, but maybe the use of a table for reviewing stuff like bags might come in handy so the camera can be in a fixed position.

Yep, it's central London, guys - if we had a large shop, the rent alone could easily be £5K+ per month...  :(

Thanks for all these clever suggestions, guys! Appreciate you taking the time to inspire us! We will take it all on board and you may well see some of these ideas applied on the channel very soon, so stay tuned!  :)

For those that order on the net, I reckon it would be great to know where the balance point on a cricket bat is - just like a tennis racquet is described as 6 pts head-light for example.

You could do this by moving a bat on a stick of some sort (eg a stump fastened onto a bench) until it reaches the point where it is balanced on said stick. Then measure where this balance point is relative to the top of the handle (or the toe). That gives viewers an objective reference to how a bat may pick up based on its weight and balance point, to go with your subjective feedback on pickup.

It's probably going to be time consuming but may be beneficial to bat nerds like me who can't come in and physically pick up a bat. But it will also set you apart from others... Just a thought! :)

Hi Paul first of all I am a fan of your videos. One point for improvement would be in my opinion reviewing one bat in a series and calling it the brand name model name review for example. Then in your videos explaining the differences between the bats across the range eg willow grade and saying we have this bat in stock. Do this instead as you will save time and be able to stop people asking for a certain review.

Hi Paul

Any chance of a video for the 2014 Newbery test batting gloves?

Cheers
