Australia vs England ODI Series
« on: January 12, 2014, 03:19:12 AM »

Hi guys,

As the title suggests a thread I discuss the current ODI series.

England have won the toss and elected to bat on a flat, dry pitch and not picked a spinner??
Odd?!

Anyways the anthems have finished and laughed when it passes Morgan whom was looking uncomfortable whereas Rankin is belting it out...  :D my Irish roots were cringing..

Just got up to watch it and seen the batting line up. Feel like going back to bed! Cook, Bell, Root & Balance, that top 4 must have the Aussies worried! Surely the likes of Carberry, Hales, Lumb, Kieswetter or Pieterson would be far better suited.

Did anybody catch the second ODI at the Gabba?

Had them 9 down needing 40 odd of 20 odd balls with Clint McKay in and still couldn't finish the job...

Silver lining? Morgan looked fantastic!

Forgot to add... is Bopara really one of the best 11 cricketers in the UK right now?????

Surely there is a spot for Luke Wright!

Bopara is England's ODI player of 2013 so I think is position is merited.

Yup agreed! Luke Wright could take the place of Cook, Root, Bresnan or Rankin right now!
