If anything it gave them good publicity the bat was in constant camera shots for a good couple of minutes.

Actually the rumor is woodworm have a new willow supplier. And from what i have seen the new bats not only look better but don't break!

I'd be suprised if Woodworm had changed Willow supplier as there's only a couple about and it would be the manufacturer (Sareens and Hunts) who make those decisions.

And Wright still managed to hit that ball for 4 over cover, even though his bat was in bits!

I was corrected when I said Woodworm bats were once made by Hunts. (They did make Freddie's.)  I thought they were now made by CA?

Read the date of the post firstly (2008, when they were still going), Hunts did make Woodworm bats at the very beginning and handled the repairs. And as for CA making them I don't know.

I think they are CA made now, as they are both owned by the sports hq and i have seen a couple of sponsored woodworm players using CA stamped woodworm when the ibat was first out

Bats break all the time and that's from all manufacturers and brands and wont effect any reputations in any way. Would i stop buying a bat because one of the pro broke one which brand would be left, I've seen Newbery Kook Slaz GM GN etc etc break in the past so unless i fell a tree myself and make my own i will still buy from the above.
