Adidas 2014 Adipower Vector
« on: January 14, 2014, 01:12:50 PM »

I'm on the hunt for some new spikes for the year and rather than keep irritating a sponser with to many questions I thought I would throw this out there.

I'm after 1 pair of spikes for both bowling and batting this year and quite like the Adidas vector as well as the new balance ck4030. So my question is this

Would the Adidas suit both disciplines as they are listed as bowling spikes, and would the 3 spikes on the heel cause any issues while batting?

Had a conference call this morning with adidas global cricket markets and these are proving very popular, I asked the same thing as the website descriptions say they are for bowling yet Chris Rogers/Carberry/Butler etc have used them for batting in.

Seems its a dual purpose boot that stands upto both disciplines. I was going to go with Some SL22's as my bowling days are behind me now but may opt for these instead. Only tried them on quickly at the trade show so im sure the boys with them in stock on here will provide some better info.

From the photos google is throwing up it looks like said pro's are batting in SL22's.  ???

Think I might give them a go and if it feels a little funny might just swap the 3rd spike for a plastic thingy.
