« on: January 16, 2014, 09:06:46 AM »

Delving into the depths of my photobucket account and seeing what bats have passed through my hands and kit bag over the years and thought id share a few....seeing how my kit has changed is also an interesting process! sorry for the volume of pics but thought some of the newer members might enjoy them :)

That screaming bat is just pure class!!

It just looks perfect?

Was the laver long enough?ha.    I remember mine had a longer blade, had to sand it down a bit on the bottom, ,just didn't feel right

These pics of old bats bring back some good memories

I had 2 L&W's 1st was a LB that our #11 now uses, other had carbo handles so they didnt feel right so passed them onto new homes.

Scat was/is my match bat and has served me very well but its on its last legs as you can see from the toe shot it had a small split it in but its now in multiple directs now.

Joker was a beast and went really well, sadly i had far too many bats to justify and a wedding to pay for so some of them went to new homes that would make use of them better than I.

You've just made me smile...A GN Crusader Taverner - my first bat bought with my own money, around £45 in 1981 I think!  I'm sure the one I had was painted with straight grains, lovely middle on it.

No - no new bats this season - I have my SAF Genus 100, the Blank bat and a GM Octane - there is no need for more, they are only really just knocked in!! Have bought some bargain golf clubs instead, it is sale time at all the golf stores as they shift stock for the 2014 arrivals!!

I have found a few more old kit pics though...

old school Stretton Fox

oh and who can forget...

oh and about 60 pictures of thigh pads, which I will spare you from!!
