Does anybody know if Hunts County are going to be bringing out new keeping gloves this year?

The rest of the range remains the same.

Forgot to ask, do these sit in between the Clipper model and the Glory model in terms of price and quality?

Different materials to the clipper. The clipper has lots of nice high quality leather. Whereas the Revolution uses modern lightweight PU. To me the Revolution is a top of the range glove.

It is exactly the same glove as the TON Max Power, which i will probably be wearing this season as they are the closest thing i have found to my Gray Nicolls Legends from 2012.

Vitas, how do you compare the modern lightweight PU against the leather?

Do you find your hands sweat less?  Do they wear as hard as the leather?  Is the shock absorption the same?

The one thing about heavy gloves is that you can flick them off easier before throwing at the stumps.  Do PU gloves shake off as easy?

Don't have an issue with my hands sweating, so i can't really comment.

the shock absorbtion is not really relelvant as the PU material is for the majority, used on the backhand.

I feel the gloves are hard wearing yes. My 2012 legend gloves are still going strong.

Can't say i've noticed an issue with removing the glove becuase it is lighter, though i do know what you mean

Hunts County Clipper keeping gloves are my current set. They are a really nice, really comfy glove. Excellent quality as well.

Got to admit, the new revolution gloves are tempting. Really nice looking colour scheme.

I have the Clippers as well and love them, they are a top glove.

I like the idea of a lighter weight glove but I am not sold on owning gloves that aren't white... maybe I need to look past the aesthetics?

I am the same. Tough choice for me to move away from GN Legends. Whilst the newer 2013/4 Legends are lovely, they just aren't quite the same as my 2012 ones. The TON (and Hunts) ones are very close, but being black is a big downside for me. I love white WK gloves.

To be honest I think we are in the majority on this point.  Wicket keeping gloves have just got to be white.

Do you use the same inners for the PU tight gloves or do you use inners that are a little more "grippier"?

Same inners. I had m&h gloves a few years ago, in the tan leather. They were luverrrrly, and not white. So maybe my feelings are not quite as strong. It hasn't taken too much really to ditch my GN Legends and go with TON.

How do you rate your GN Legends?  Are the 2014 models as good?

Apart from the Clippers & the GN Legends is there anything else in the white that you could recommend?

I do still like the Legends in their 2013/4 spec, and the palm is very grippy, albeit not terribly long lasting (I had them this season and they are bald in places) but they aren't they same cut/feel as the 2012 ones.

www.vitascricket.co.uk/products.php?id=1025 - they are long cut too, which is something I like, though it isn't essential for me.

TON products are going onto our website tomorrow, but in the meantime, this picture of the Gladiator gloves will have to do. These are the top of the range, made in the traditional way with high quality leather.
