First foray into softs....
« on: January 20, 2014, 09:48:58 PM »

Evening all,

My first foray into softs and this in one of the two styles of gloves I'm offering.....big fan of simple and classy so attempted that....ultra soft leather!

Also got the shark tooth gloves coming so will post a picture of those when they arrive.

Excuse the rubbish picture!

Same as keeping kit and batting pads...thoughts and constructive criticism appreciated!

Love the gloves (batting and keeping) mate very classy and elegant! However I think the keeping and batting pads are lacking tradition and innovation. For example the batting pads don't have a knee locator, leather instep and I don't think there looks to be any padding on the straps to wear with shorts, however I stand to be corrected on that. The keeping pads look a bit too space age for me and with no offence I think the padding looks a bit off centre making them look a little "cheap" however once that is corrected for me they will be good softs; but then again it could just be the picture making the padding look off center and unusual.

Thanks bud! The keeping pads are centred, it is just the angle I took the picture from....

I will take a closer look at the batting pads with those points you've made.....very constructive, thanks mate!! Just what I'm looking for!

Thought it might have been the angle, also I'd take Cameron phye comment on board aswell as I agree about pads been all white on the front!
Pleased you took my comments in a good positive way as I hope I didn't come across picky and arrogant and your welcome :)!

As per my comment on the batting pads topic. These are just the same as other brands with some different colours. I don't see how they differentiate your brand? Unlike your keeping pads which look more modern and will solicit a marmite reaction.

Hi, Just seen this (and the pads /WK topic)....I love the snakeskin detailing on the WK gloves; any chance of replicating that on the batting gloves? Reckon that would make them stand out... :)

Although not a fan of the wicket keeping gloves. They are different to others and stand out. So maybe a good thing

Wicket keeping pads should match, currently they look like a different model and don't match.

Batting gloves pads are nothing special, just yours label. Maybe you should add some snake skins inside, and accents to the outer of the pads, and add snake skin to a few fingers, and velcrod strap on the gloves to stand out in a very crowded market?
