My new retro/modern bat
« on: January 21, 2014, 07:42:24 PM »

Evening all just thought I would share with you my new stick for the coming season. Firstly this is not a bat this is available. I just really really liked these stickers and are still my favourite (although the SLX runs close) and with the return of retro bats this season thought I would join the party with a Salix offering.

So here she is 2.11 fully dressed but picks up 2.9 in my view and I personally never weigh any bat from Salix as to me the pick up and balance is amazing. Mid/high middle, as an opening bat playing a decent level always find that helps, plus I'm a little vertically challanged  :D also aids pick ,2 tone willow but dead straight grains that run straight through the toe. A little concaving with a fairly high spine height. This is a modern version of the original vantage which was my first ever Salix bat that I was bought when I was 17 from memory, basically it's just bigger as bats are these days, any way hope you like her.

That shape is lovely. I don't understand your need for endless willow when you have such great contacts at Salix.

I have been with Salix for a year now and that is a very true point. I will not be buying anywhere near as many bats if any more at all to be honest. I feel the loyalty to Salix now as they have been very loyal to me in my training/apprenticeship and allowing me to work around my existing job which I am really to them for.

Yes mate that's Ian who has been with Andrew since almost the start mate. Can for the life of me remember is full name to match the initials. There is Andrew, Ian and Hugh that have been together for many years, Ben joined about 3 years ago then I'm the baby and part time.
