Gray Nicolls Micro-Lite Grille
« on: October 01, 2009, 06:07:35 AM »

When I went to Morrant to get the Dukes gear, I saw the GN MicroLite Grille - made from a clear material:

Morrant had it for a fiver but couldn't tell me which helmet it would fit on. What are the chances that it would fit on an Albion or this seasons GN helmets? And will having a transparent grille improve the visibility (surely!)?

I wouldnt fancy having just that in front of my face! Especially as titanium bends plastic may not fare so well!

The chances of plastic stopping the ball are slim i would say, it will turn white as leo says due to the UV light effecting it. Think you would be much safer with a steel or titanium grille in my opinion.

aryte, I think you should do a transparent grille. I would be first in the queue to buy one and fix it onto the traditional style ayrteks!
