Looks a nice bat, but what's the story behind it?

Very nice bat mate!

It's an Aussie GN, made by Stuart K, one grade below the Legend. I saw a few in GCCC when I was in Oz last year. Nice pickup and decent size for the weight. They should go very well. Wish I had the funds to buy one!

Scrap that, that's an Ultimate I was referring to... So what is the story behind this one??  :D

It's a lovely shape, how much did it set you back?

Bought it from a guy at my club who was a bit clueless. He paid $500ish at GCCC. He wasn't a batsman so it was hardly used. But he knocked in the sides of the bat instead of the edges. They were all dented and looked ridiculous. the stickers were peeling a bit and there some dings in the back of it from being carried around without a bat cover. Sent it back to Gray Nic to see if they could fix the sides/adges. They did a full refurb and it looks like new. Now someone is interested in buying and I'm trying to decide whether I really need to hang onto it.

I had an original GN Elite LE back in '89/90. Top of the line back then. Check out the '89 ashes series where Dave Boon is using one (the reason I bought one) The most awesome bat I have ever owned. I think it cost me $300 back then which was a ridiculous amount for a cricket bat in '89. Stolen unfortunately :(
