SS have taken the step of only selling their bats into the UK via their agent the Incredible Cricket Company who will sell to the retail outlets or direct from VKS as they have such a long history dealing with SS. They will not be sending any more bats to UK, or why go to such lengths to set up the whole deal.

Where are Lukey Sports based as cannot see it anywhere on the internet or any records?

are both VKS and Incredible Cricket Company the authorized distributors? I thought ICCo was the sole distributor for UK and Europe?

I am not sure if it is correct that SS will not be sending any more bats to UK.
The range they are supplying to ICC is completely different to what is being supplied to other retailers.

VKS have permission as a shop to sell SS that they buy direct. Everyone else must buy from ICC or they will have to buy grey stock without SS backup.

The range is limited to allow people to know what stock is UK and what is not.

Yes the BAS Millenium are specially selected hence a little difference in the price.
The grading is same across all the LE range.

I think the deal was that any new reatiler have to buy from ICC. SS will carry on supplying to the reatilers they used to supply.
The range stocked by VKS is not the same as ICC so How do we know what stock is UK and what is not

I was told that VKS were the only ones with a concession.

I'll be honest and say that I had talks with regard to setting up the agency but thought that too many would import as they do at the moment and so passed on it.

I was offered the same but didn't take it for the same reasons

all edge and no spine!

enough spine for the ball to be sent out of the ground! It's the angle of the photographs. Asad please higher a professional photographer if you want to post pic of your bats on the forum :) ;)

these bats have a slightly fuller back and hence the spine looks small, a bit of concaving like on the Uzi or the Icon DMX and they will have as good a spine as any other bat, but imo it may take the punch off it....

Any batmakers would like to comment on this

All hail BAS, willow quality looks good, certainly the ones Asad showed me at his house were top notch.

Must be great having family at BAS though Yash, you need to get them to do a forum special edition bat.

We can do a CB Spl Ed bat (from the blank BAS bats), but not to be asked "How much will the postage be to ....." or haggling on the prices.

IMO, BAS is a he best value for money, what do you think? The quality of the willow is very good, finishing is good and the bats play well

I am a batmaker so all edge and no spine... , maybe the willow cleft leads them into making shapes like that....

Concaving will not make a blind bit of difference if the willow cleft is sawn / split in a certain way so that only an heavy edge bat can be made

edit: No need to hire a professional photograher
