try to line up your bottom V with the splice or just towards the outside edge of the splice.  Try not to hold it with an O grip but a V

One thing that a lot of younger batsmen do is let their grip on the last two fingers of their top hand loosen off when striking it, often there is no pressure from the little finger and ring finger.

Put your gloves on do some shadow shots and concentrate on the pressure of your grip, do you loosen off those fingers?? If so that would weaken your grip and cause it to turn a little on impact, not in your hands but your wrist/bat

I had an issue like this last season and I'd no real idea why it's suddenly started happening after 15 years or so. Went to Lords a few weeks ago thinking they'd be able tell me after 1-2 looks, both coaches were baffled, said all they could think of was to try changing the grip on the bat for a thicker/tackier one, and low and behold, problem solved.
