The worst one was GM Luna with extreme concaving or is scooping the word here ? It had a great pickup but the middle was really narrow.

Personally i like the GN powerspot this year and may have that as my match bat.

I'd call this scooping on the Luna

Concaving - hold a ruler on the edge of the bat and the spine. If you can see daylight between the ruler and the side spine then it's concaved. If the ruler can't sit on the spine because the side spine is pushing it away then it's convex.

I've seen a few postings about bats where the owner has described it as none or minimal concaving when you can quite clearly see concaving. Wish I had an example to hand! I don't mind a bit of concaving as a compromise for having bigger edges as long as it doesn't get silly:-

That said the best bat I've owned had no concaving (this isn't the exact one but a better grade in this shape):-

I personally like concaving, or don't mind it atleast.

But IMO the concaving should never be taken below the edge size, that's just too far.

When I originally got this bat I was disappointed by the amount of concaving, but by lord does it ping all over.
Brilliantly pressed though.
