Loads of new cricket shoes in, including Nike!
« on: February 11, 2014, 02:19:37 PM »

Afternoon Guys,

Our Nike stock order was delivered yesterday, adding to our existing New Balance and Adidas footwear range.  Here's how some of the shoes look:

And here are the respective pages on our website:

http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/nike-m12
http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/new-balance-m47#c34
http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/adidas-m55#c27

The pre-orders we've had have all been shipped out now, but we still have quite a few pairs left in stock.  Please PM me for more details!

Cheers,
Paul

Am getting boils on my feet wearing the Reebok ones (not sure which model).. but seems heavy when I put on the metal spikes.

What's a good price for light shoes with soft materials (having removable spikes as well)??

I think the New Balance 4030 shoes are a great price and should be suitable for you: http://www.itsjustcricket.co.uk/cricket-footwear-c26/cricket-spikes-c27/new-balance-ck4030-cricket-shoes-blue-white-p777

I picked the 4020 (non-spiked) new balance up from Paul last week and i am very impressed with them. Feel very sturdy and light at the same time. If the spiked ones are the same i can see them being very popular this year

Hi David, we have Nikes in stock in 10 and 11 but no half sizes, unfortunately.  Adidas only go up to 9.5 as their distributor are very low on stock at the moment...

Out of the 3 which one would you say is the better shoe Paul?

The NB is very well priced indeed and will be a great bargain late in the season when the initial prices drop.

To be honest, I haven't even had time to try them on yet! I keep meaning to, but then realise there's another bat I need to knock in! I will get there eventually.  In the meantime, I suggest interested parties contact Chris on here because he is our resident shoes reviewer and has tried them on, at least the NB ones.  We will have videos of the Nike ones up by Saturday and should know more about them by then...

I have the Nike's - a seriously comfortable pair of spikes. I've had Asics and Adidas in the past few seasons but the Nike surpass these on comfort IMO. Not seen or tried any New Balance

Agreed, have worn Kookaburra spikes for the last 15 years or so but they seem to come up small these days so changed to ASICS in 2012. Really first class shoes but I think the Nikes knock both of them into a cocked hat. Great fit and very light.

Bought a pair of rubber soled New Balance from Uzi sports last week for indoor nets. Ordered 10 D to match the x trainers I already have and I think they are half a size small!

Never mind sold onto my son and ordered the rubber soled Nike's this morning.

Really like the look of the New Balance bowling boots. Don't know what to go for now. Asics speed menace are quality and everyone I talk to tells me how good the Nike bowling boots are. Decisions, decisions.... Which ones are lightest?
