Ecb recently force retired cricketer

Kp 1.5million dollars

Current ecb players and stars

Bell unsold
Hales unsold
Wright unsold
Bopara unsold

What do the ecb know eh? Lol

Kieswetter was unsold too. As was dilshan, Ross Taylor, Cameron White among a few, yet some ridicolous prices being paid for some For some players both foreign to india(maxwell 1mil again) and Indian players (karthik and yuvraj over 2mil each? Wtf!)

only half way though the auction, still time for them to be bought

Again all the coach's are SA and Australian so English players are not the top of the buying list

He's struggled in the IPL, so much so, that he's dropped himself in games despite being captain

Surprised by Brett Lee not being bought, he had a decent Big Bash after all!

Edit: Just looked at his actual stats for the tournament - maybe not so much, made for good viewing at least haha!

Chris Lynn unsold!

Having watched him in big bash and them against England I am highly suprised by this.

Very amusing though, with ecb and English players. "We are behind because we dot. Let our players go to ipl" "ecb should make room from ipl" bla blah blah.
When English players do go, no one wants them.

How do these prices work in the IPL? Does KP get $1.5m up front and then a wage or does he get this over say a 3 year contract?

From the looks of it, money offered does not have full relevance to talent and form.
How could we explain Dinesh Kartik getting more than KP  :D

20% upfront, upon arriving at start of IPL.
30% after group stage.
30% after knockout stage.

Final 20% is paid after CLT20, if side qualifies. Otherwise paid after IPL ends.

$1.5m is for one season.

So KP stands to earn $4.5m

The Indian capped players get more as each side must have 7 homr grown players.

So if you have any hope of winning the IPL or qualifying CLT20, you'd want the better Indian players.

Karthik is a good player in his own conditions.

Yuvraj getting $2,33m is a joke.

More of a joke is that yuvraj got paid 2m without playing a game in one of the seasons

He did have cancer during the season in question, so can't really blame him.

Anyway Yuvraj's pal Kohli promised him a payday and he's delivered in fine style...

There is a huge amount of good talent not being picked up. I see Samit didn't get a bid.
