I got the gloves from ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kookaburra-2010-ICE-850-Batting-Gloves-Size-Mens-RH_W0QQitemZ400097345743QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Protective_Equipment?hash=item5d27a900cf for the rh or http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Kookaburra-2010-ICE-850-Batting-Gloves-Size-Mens-LH_W0QQitemZ350304921418QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Protective_Equipment?hash=item518fcce74a for the LH version

As I said previously the 2008 model are really good and these are better (only about £10 more) but have better palms and (hopefully) better protection. Personally so long as they are as good as my 08 ones, I don't care. I have the 08 Ice sub zero pads too, which I really like.

there are better things to have orgasms over than kookaburra softs though!!

Not an unreasonable comment - but I would say that they are very good and offer excellent protection. Also, I am sure that a) you could get them cheaper if you looked hard enough (althought the service I got from these guys was excellent) and b) you could get gloves that are as good for £25 from a different brand... I like the blue kookaburra stuff, so more the fool me!!

Yeah or wait til end of season bargains if not massively bothered about the newest ones. Or as you say use the smaller brands which are slightly more cost effective for similar designs and protection levels. Are very sweet looking gloves!

I like the Kookaburras A LOT but like Sammy I couldn't bring myself to pay more than £25 really :)

Next pads could be Kookaburra Ices. ;)

roughly it's £25 max on gloves and £40 max on pads, maybe more if it's a bargain or worth it...

that is probably pretty reasonable

FYI I have just dug out the order note - the original pads and gloves cost me £31 and £46 respectively and the were bought in early Aug 08 so have done a almost season and a half (I play until the end of September) - given that there is loads of wear in the pads and at least another season in the gloves I think I have had decent value

Sounds good, my £40 GM 606 pads have lasted 2 seasons and gloves still got another season or 3 in them :D
