Never had any issues with good quality chevron or diamond grips.

Good quality ones.

Cheap ones tear like paper.

as said, don't go cheap as it will just rip and doesn't last that long anyway, price difference is negligible anyway if I'm honest

While I was at Choice in Redbourn I saw they were selling a grip applicator. I have no idea how it worked but my mate commented that it looked very much like a pump used to extend a certain appendage. I can only imagine how he would know this.

EDIT: Just found a video of it. I had no idea these things existed, definitely considering buying one.

I have a gm grip applicator, and it's broken. Or a presume it is.

When I first got it it would only work on high quality grips(I.e ones that haven't got holes in, low quality grips can be porous)

But after about ten grips, it mo long holds suction as in the video. Which gets annoying.

Two of my local sports shops have a similar set up, except it's a see through tube, attacked to an electric vacuum pump. Apply grip as in video. Press a but and it sucks it in.
I need to find out where you get this from, or atleast make my own!

Just as easy to do it with a carrier bag.

The GM applicator is poocakes and not worth it.

The best is the Kwikgrip which was available from Aswani - they were superb at most grips apart from Octopus.

Carrierbag doesn't work on a second grip. Or if you have the "bags for life"

Yes it does, all you do is put a bag over the first grip then the second bag slides over the first bag,if you follow me.

The gm applicators don't no. The larger tube pump powered ones at b3 and sheaf sports can put upto 3 grips on.

Top thinking batman, never thought of that.

I still would sue the cone, works well and means I don't pee about with bags, only takes a minute to do.

That plastic bag is more for the last minute panic change when you realise you need a change and no bugger in the team has a gripping cone with them. It's saved me a few times.
