Removing Bola ball marks?
« on: February 18, 2014, 03:15:55 PM »

Hi Guys,

Anyone got any idea how to get rid of the marks left on the scuff sheet by Bola balls? I've tried the old nail varnish remover, but that didn't work...

cheers!!

A little bit of acetone and rubbing should do the trick..

Cheers guys, I'll give the white spirit a try as I probably have some in the house somewhere. If that doesn't work I'll get some acetone.

Most nail varnish removers contain acetone. Smells like pear drops.

Yep, although I'd assume it's a diluted solution so the full strength stuff might be more effective. Hopefully the white spirit will work...

Anyone got any tips for removing the really stubborn ones??

I've got most off with nail varnish remover, white spirit, brasso, ciff & washing up liquid but some just won't budge.
Any more suggestions??  ???

That'd cost a whole £4.50 though!  ;)
Might resort to that before the season starts so my bat looks a bit new haha

It's probably my OCD making them worse in my mind than they actually are...
