Honest opinion the gloves are like marmite, but I can't see anyone paying £150 for a pair (unless you've changed your mind on the price point?)
The pads seem to be advertising Chase so you may want to reconsider the logo, and what benefit is there of a D3o pad?? Isn't i only used in gloves normally?? I can't see them taking off either.

And as for the bat, if that's 5% concaving I'd like to see what James considers heavy.

Not my cup of tea but as long as you're happy with it I suppose...

Knew that triangle looked familiar from somewhere

Ifyou have ordered a bat, the when it comes show it off. I don't see why peopel(and this isn't just you Rowan) need to make a thread before it's even arrived?

The fact you've shown a bat you didn't ordeder also baffles me?

Sorry but it looks like advertisement.
I thought I would find what people think about this gear, so that I can explain peoples doubts etc in my review in the coming weeks.

If you do get stung and lose cash like many people have on here through James, don't write a bad review or post anything in the disputes section as people have told you what he is like - also that's not meaning to be offensive as everyone has their own opinion
Who has been stung by Lekka?

Right Gents, before this becomes a flame war relating to Lekka, the majority of people that I know have bought his kit have generally been pleased. I've had more than one bat from him that has been good, including both standard and Joker style. I am not aware of who has had softs.

What I would say is that some members on the forum have been encouraged to be agents and that hasn't always been the most successful model for them.

In short, if you are able to get it at a price you are happy with, Lekka kit is generally no worse than that you can get from other suppliers. James is always open for a chat, and will happily talk about Lekka with you.

Finally, as with anything on the internet (including this forum), if you don't know someone and you haven't any way of verifying anything about them, then you should always take the appropriate precautions.

why does it matter what other people think? why do you need to remove the doubts about the kit? surely if you are happy with it then it doesnt matter what anyone else thinks. also concerned how you know already that you will explain peoples doubts in a review for gear you dont even have yet. what happens if it turns out to be complete rubbish?

this screams of a link to Lekka to me.

He's been brainwashed already. He's probably been made an agent, and been encouraged to post on here.

The fact lekka found him, shows he's on here too.

as far as im aware lekka is on here but is banned from posting. well under a certain user name. that may have changed as that was quite some time ago. Apart from the obvious areas, he could probably pick up any information from any topic, just like alot of guests.

What does 5% concaving mean? 5% of the area of the back of the bat is concaved, the other 95% isn't? An expression of the actual radius used to concave? I'm confused!

From the picture it means 5% of the original cleft remains  ;)

What's the point in going to the effort to measure the amount of concaving then just converting it into some percentage that no one can understand   ???.

Or picking a low percentage figure that sounds good but doesn't have any significance what so ever.

Not going to go into the fact that this looks like a Lekka advertising thread and just comment on the products....

I'd get the red triangle out, at first glance it looked like a Chase product (especially the red triangle on the lower brand stamp on the pads) and if your serious about building a brand then you need to have clear branding.

The colours on the gloves don't match as everyone has said, the palms need to match, lose the blue green and get red/pink in there would be my suggestion.

I'd also be inclined to lose the graffiti at the top of the pads (the two side colours) unless they matched, they make the pads lok uneven, i'd go with the same deisgn on both sides or just leave it off. For me the prospect of all white pads with the graffiti on the strapping is more appealing than on the pad itself.

With your pads, I'd actually go completely the opposite direction and believe that if they were pretty plain and simple then they would go with your gloves far better. My issues are the graffiti just looks messy and not in a good way for your pads. If you're so keen in keeping this concept then maybe just keep the graffiti for the inside knee area, and make the rest plain, especially your
straps. Have a nice logo on the front and keep the d30 logo on there somewhere as well too.

If you're able to, revert back to your original glove idea. Get the palm back to coincide with the rest of your glove and it will look a far better product. Your price points are far fetched, and I hope that you don't put too much money into your project and lose out. I hope something works out for you.

What are your thoughts on them pictures Rowan?

To me the bat looks a bit of a Grunter, but as I don't know the grade it's meant to be or the price point. Then i personally can't say weather the looks are worth you the price. Only you can comment on that.

I don't agree with lekkas methods of advertisement, over use of buzzwords or sense of humour,

But having just bought a second hand big hitter, which is dam ugly, there is no doubting the bats are goers. This thing pings!
