So many gifts by the windies. Are they trying to let us win?? Yet we still struggle.

Maybe they are taking the mick out of us.. Not playing their best players.. Beating us.. And now can make loads of errors in batting and fielding and still look like winning!!

I think over the last year Bopara has proved himself as a solid ODI and T20 player.
Its situations like this where he has done the job that show he is the man for that 6 or 7 position in the line up.

Doesn't feel like a win, or atleast a convincing one.

If the West Indies had put a full strength side out it would be a very different story!
Even when England win a game it's not convincing...

That's the problem, England won't win against a strong side!

Man of the match has to go to Erasmus.   ;)

Bopara should be at 3, wasted batting at 7.

New coach, same inflexibility in the batting line up

I've just watched the end of the match - Can somebody please enlighten me as to why broad was swinging at everything like a lumberjack? Why Luke Wright still isn't opening? And why poor Ravi Bopara is practically in the tail when he should be at 4? New England, same old choices.....

God knows. Thinking back to when he got 150 odd at Lords against Pakistan, he actually looked like a batsman. Now he looks like a Sunday Friendly tailender who is absolutely petrified of the ball and is trying hard not to back away from everything. God knows whats happened to him.

The over the top celebration at the end of the match smacked of an under confident team on the brink of years in the doldrums....the fragility is obvious - all the test playing nations must smell blood and will surely be queuing up at the door for a crack at them. The only light relief will be when pietersen's gagging clause in his severance contract expires and he gives it both barrels in the media!
