So this was an experiment. See what effects people's attempts to manipulate a bat have when all put together.
So I contacted a few people and Ryan at rk came up trumps with his quote, and off he went.
The criteria I sent him.
Laminate!!!
"1 and 1/4shorter blade
1 and a 1/4 inch longer handle(to maintain short handle length)
Round handle
Handle forward set a few degrees
Harrow width!!!
Distinct bow in blade
3lb weight with 1grip and dressed!!!
Spine height 65-75mm(or maximum available)
Spine to continue into toe
Edge size maximum (50-55mm or maximum available)
Concaving, preferable non, but if needed most keeped to lower 3inch of bat, and from handle to 4inch down,
Large toe
Edge and spine to be smaller at shoulders than at toe"
The actual bat has 69mm spine, 43mm edges, and is ever so slightly concaved, but that doesn't matter on a bat this size.
The lam is hardly noticeable.
The bat pings so well but deffo needs knocking in
Pick up is quite nice. Similar to my lekka.
It weighs 3.3 just under, but has 2 grips.
Overall I'm well impressed with Ryan's work. And look forward to a Net and a friendly with it.
Here it is with my other t20 aimed bats. Big to small in terms of blade height
