i would think so people do :)

few clubs in are league pay money.

its a flat rate for every player tho

for example.

£10 a qicket £5 a catch 25p per run etc

not everyone gets a flat rate at some clubs either... But nobody is meant to know about all that anyway. I got paid 'performance' last year but won't this year. Its ridiculous that a cricketer as bad as I am can get pocket money for playing cricket.

used to get £50 a match in 1998 - 2000 as a 17 -20 year old, never been paid since.

Got paid to play in England as an overseas and had offers from other clubs but haven't taken them.

Would be great to get paid for doing the sport we all love!

I may have a word with the Chairman and see if I can get 5p a run and 10p a catch! May even have enough to treat myself to a pint by the end of the season!  ;)

Used to get a certain amount for scoring over 40/60/80/100 at a club in Wales  when I was at Uni (and bonuses for any wickets if I had a spell), only played a few games for them in the end and the standard was lower than I usually play but it paid for a couple of nights out at least!

I didn't get paid but as a Student I didn't have to pay subs.

erm, when I skipper my work side I get the time off on full pay, does that count? :)

I get paid by my job to play same wage if that counts, around 20-30 days a season.

Club wise well that's a benefit scheme

If I take a days holiday I get my hourly rate between 9-5, some of that time will be spent playing cricket ;)
