I do hope nutter was used as a term of endearment then... Like you called a cute fluffy squirrel a nutter. And not how you might refer to your local Mr McCrazy....  ???

Now that wonderful woman is definitely a keeper!! Well done to you Sir.

She sounds a right Sarah Taylor!

We all love the slide.

Especially on a July square!!!

you obviously don't slide enough  :D everyone loves abig pointless slide when chasing a ball down. even when its quicker to bend down and get the ball, YOU MUST SLIDE! its the law

Or there's the unneccessary roll!  As the ball reaches you bend doen, pick up, roll over the shoulder, come up on one knee and take aim with a throw.  Looks proper hollywood!

Don't forget when someone skies one, to not move close enough to it so that you can attempt a 1 handed leap/diving catch

or there's always the late back paddle for a ball over your head. Late reaction and engage reverse gear. Then you can action the backwards lateral and take the catch behind you, one handed, at full stretch, and look like an absolute hero when the batsman is still running his scratchy top edge 3 while you walk in showing him the ball

That my technique for skyers, mis judge, realise you've run in too far, start running backwards, take a one handed catch behind your head that can only be described as a Worldie. Because standing still because they've picked you out perfectly is just too simple!  :D

or..... standing still can look good. You just have to be Uber casual with it. Look up once..... plant feet, look at batsman, give the poor sucker a quick wink ;) Flop an hand out and snaffle the catch without breaking eye contact. Easy. My skipper calls that one the 'If you ever drop one of those doing that I will DROP you' catch.

The Addidas trousers arrived today, thanks Jake.

They are really comfy. Don't overlook them. They are not the cheapest, but they aren't expensive either.

Great recommendation Jake. Thanks.

Canterbury have been my favourite so far. Our club has gone for Surridge this year, so will give them a go.

Excellent leg covers for your Stretton Foxes, eh wot?

only on this forum would you get 4 pages on cricket trousers. then just as the thread is going quiet someone comes up with these custom made wool trousers at different weights.

I try to add insight Buzz.... ;)
At £245 a pair it rules out diving/sliding etc. but my goodness they'd look great with a G&T and a boating blazer.

£245?

bargain. who needs 10 pairs of adidas whites or a new bat when you can get strides like those
