I'm not moving clubs, but looking to get into weekend cricket again.
Been playing Last Man Stands cricket the last 2 seasons, and really enjoyed it!

Ive re-signed for my previous club for this season after 2 years away at a different club playing only intermittently

Played around 15 matches in the last 2 seasons and have managed to do some things that I always missed out on due to cricket commitments (on and off the field) - weddings, festivals, camping etc

Whilst I've had great couple of summers I have to say I'm really looking forward to playing properly for my home-town club again.

Needless to say, I've ordered some new kit and I'm chomping at the bit to get going. Roll on April!!

This season will be my second season back at my new club. I played for them from the age of 7 until the age of 12 to try and give myself the best chance to break onto the county scene as many players from this club had previously played at a county level. I spent 5 years at the club winning two colts league titles and then starting my adult career. During the 2014 season I was becoming very eager to play in the 2nd XI as I frequently trained with them and played in the Development A side on Sundays. Just before the start of the 2015 league season I decided I needed a fresh start and decided to move back to my original team that had dramatically transformed and had anew pavilion, a fantastic square (1st and 2nd games par score was 280-300 towards the end of the season) and the top sides were playing at their respective top or second tiers in the league. I'm so glad I moved back as even though I had to work my way up through the sides starting in the 4th XI (scoring 51 on debut which I thought wasn't too bad as I am more of a bowling all rounder batting at number 4) and then playing most of my season in the 3rd XI playing an important role in winning the league and going on to play 5 games in the 2nd XI. I'm really looking forward to this season as last season I felt like a completely different player, hoping I can continue where I left off last season.

This winter was my first winter with my new club and its been a real challenge. Last season I finished playing in the 2s and felt very happy there. This winter I've been netting with our 1s and 2s, the sessions have been harder than ever but so satisfying as I can feel myself improving week by week. Another advantage I found with training with our 1s and 2s is I had plenty of opportunities to talk to a our first team spinner and get some advice which will hopefully allow me to improve enough to play in our first team in the future. By training with our top 2 teams I have also got the opportunity to bowl at some county 2s players which has been an amazing experience as they really push you to the best of your ability.

I was all set to move clubs this season, it would have been my second move in as many seasons.  But a old knee injury has flared up and might put an end to my season before it starts.

Still potential to change, as I'm likely to be changing job again so my availability will be more sporadic, so not sure what I'll be doing!

Our club is 99% going to the wall, I travelled 20 miles to a home game. Long way for the wife to bring the kids every Saturday!! Would have to choose between same or higher league within a few miles or dropping down so she could walk to a home game.......decisions, decisions

Left my club last season due to having to travel 20 miles for an home game joined a club  close to home  after 4 matches left and went back to my old club.
