Phil Jaques??
« on: October 11, 2009, 11:39:55 AM »

Whatever happened to him? He was scoring stacks of runs against India and Sri Lanka about a year ago and
have not seen him since.

I think he still very young. he will break into the Aussie team again, after about 3-5 years.

he got a duck for NSW in the champions league 2 days ago but I just turned on eurosport to see that he led the innings against Sussex and made 62 off 64. Hendriques was better though - 51 off 30

Musama your on about Phil Hughes, Phil Jaques is a different person. He got injured then replaced by Hughes and hasn't got much of a look in since then.

Jaques injured his back during Australia's tour of India last year.

He has since had two operations on his back. I think he missed most of the First Class whilst he was getting fit again.

Cricket Australia also didn't give him a central contract for 2009-10. Which is quite odd as he is a run machine.

He's now available again for selection NSW.
