I've done that, once you get into the habbit of selling to buy it's great though. The new kit doesn't hit your wallet as hard and you have a similar or the same amount as you started with, so you don't (theoretically) need to hide your new kit.
I'm not sure how many times I can "post this bat off for a refurb and new stickers" thought. My dad asked why a brand new bat needed a refurb and came back a totally different shape last time  :-[

It's not unknown for him to "borrow" my kit, so he likes to eye up the stash so he knows what to take haha

I've got a pair of aero P1s underneath a pair of unlabelled puma gloves that Craig Kieswtter couldn't use anymore after he moved over to M&H...courtesy of Jamie Overton who plays for us when Somerset let him...I keep to some pretty rapid bowling anyway and then when Jamie plays it's definitely two pairs of inners with some extra neoprene sown on to give some extra protection at the base of my right little finger which always gets sore...
